DM2 MixPad is a live performance and arrangement app for loop-based DJ sets. You can create songs in real time, edit songs in the sequencer, then play back or export your final mix.
Left deck pads: Q, W, E, D, C, X, Z, A.
Right deck pads: U, I, O, L, Period, Comma, M, J.
Play: Starts live performance/song creation mode.
Play Back: Plays the currently loaded song or package timeline.
Record: Starts live performance and records audio output.
Stop: Stops transport, resets counters, and returns to start.
Record Playback: Plays song timeline and records the output to m4a.
Load Track loads audio into the selected pad.
Track Properties sets per-track behavior such as quantize, play-on-beat/bar options, stop-on-release, stutter enable, tempo matching, and baseline track mix values.
Effects opens track effect controls (reverb, delay, EQ, filters, modulation, dynamics, and pitch/rate tools).
Open supports .mxp (track layout), .mxs (song), .mppk (package), and .mxpl (playlist).
Save and Save As use the selected file type in the save dialog.
Export to m4a renders audio from the current song timeline.
Show/Create Playlist, Save Playlist, Save Playlist As, and Close Playlist manage playlist performance flow.
Playlist files must be saved in the same folder as their .mppk files. Playlist entries are resolved relative to the playlist file location.
Performance Mode Off: song playback runs in read-only timeline mode.
Performance Mode On: you can use supported live controls (pads, scratch, pitch-bend, crossfade, and mixer controls) during song playback.
Performance Mode playback actions are runtime-only and are not written into saved song timeline data.
Need loops to test with? Good free sources include Looperman and MusicRadar sample packs.
